Here are some excellent online resources for short stories, flash (or micro)fiction (really short stories), short nonfiction, and poetry. The kind of stuff you can flip back and forth to to keep you inspired while confined in your cubical.
Banshee Studios They call it "Sudden Fiction" and have a nice selection of this and poetry. You can also browse their reviews, interviews, and workshops. East of the Web More commercial, and more ads. They have a nicely categorized selection of stories, however, and a daily story. FictionPress.Net Amazing in its wealth and categorization of stories! At this writing, they evidently have published some 85,000 works of fiction and 164,000 poems! Poetry Daily Contemporary poetry and a daily poem selected for topical or seasonal relevance. Nice. Small Spiral Notebook Smaller selection than some of the others, but interesting. And nice imagery.
